New Custom Built Outdoor Summer Kitchen
This new custom outdoor kitchen was designed by the homeowner – yes that’s him in the background – for dining and serving at the bar. The built in bbq grill is an American Outdoor Grill by R.H. Peterson and we converted one of the blue-flame burners into an infrared sear burner. The granite and the texture and the dry stacked ledge stone were chosen by the homeowner because he prefers all white shades in the yard. The Platinum color for the ledge stone and the Bianco Romano slab of custom fabricated granite have a lot of white and enough texture in the stone and other colors in the granite to complement one another.
Left side is a pull out cooler drawer built into the island face. When pulled open this drawer has an igloo cooler in it. The design allows the cooler to be removed and filled, emptied and cleaned very easily. Inbetween the grill’s built in access doors and the cooler drawers are two cubby holes. The cubby holes have granite on the bottom to make them easily wiped clean. Sealed inside the cubby holes are a cool idea that allows paper plates, cups, napkins, mixers and more to be used while grilling and drinking without using counter space for storage. Also the wind will not blow napkins et al all over the yard if they are inside the cubby holes. Usually a squirt from the hose is enough to keep them clean.
The AOG built in barbecue grill has three main burners with an optional infrared rotisserie burner. Also any of the three blue-flame “U” burners can be removed and swapped with an infrared sear burner. The infrared sear burner will produce over a thousand degrees within one minute of pressing the ignition. Pressurized gas or propane generate tremendous heat.
