New Replacement Parts For Viking Gas Grill Models

by grillrepair on

We just added new control knobs and exploded view specification sheets for Viking gas grills to help choose replacement parts and assist with repairing the barbecues.  Over the next couple of days we will continue to add the spec sheets tot he primary Viking replacement grill parts page at:

We also added a new control knob and the control knob for the rotisserie safety valve and additional pages that show the dimensions and close up images of these replacement parts.

The new knobs page are listed at:

Although the primary difference seems to be “newness.  The original control knob is the 10039 we have always stocked.  The 10039 is a harder material that although it looks like plastic it sounds and feels like ceramic.  The 10039 is a very hard black knob whereas the new additions are definately a hard plastic.  These new numbers are coming up now in the spec sheets instead of the old numbers.
Since Viking took over ownership of the  manufacturing plant where Viking gas grills were being made there have been a lot of interchangeable parts.  The stainless steel U shaped burners (for example) come with a system of brackets and braces that allow the stainless burner to replace the original cast iron rectangular burner in the older Viking gas grills.  The double prong igniters are also interchangable replacements that can be easily rplaced onto the older Viking models.
The knobs have so far been used on different control valves.  The older Viking valves screwed into the manifold whereas the newer valves bolt through the manifold.  The bolt through style is also very old but has survived the changes at Viking over the past 5 years.
