I have a DCS 36" BBQ where the infrared unit lights but won't stay on once the ignition button is released. What is wrong and what part do I need to replace to get it to operate correctly.

Thanks.

DCS is one of the best gas grills in the world and the rods allow the barbeque to become a grill with radiant heat localized at the grilling surface. I know after a few years, the rods do not look pretty but they are still doing their job conducting heat at the grilling surface. You only need to replace them if they are broken so badly they will not stay in the tray where they belong. The tray does need to be cleaned a few times a year to ensure it does not rust to pieces. Cleaning the tray and burners is much easier than it is with a conduction-style grill that uses lava rocks or briquettes because the rods are locked in place. Simply lift the whole tray with the rods out of the grill, spray it with somple green or a similar de-greaser, lightly brush the grease away, rinse and replace. Rods are available if you need them at:

Thank you. When commenting, let us know what kind of bbq grill you use and what you love about it! If there are improvments you would make to your gas grill, let us know that also. Often there are suggestions we can make to help you love your own outdoor lifestyle even more.

Im trying to find a replacement part. Its the infrared back burner for the rotisserie. I have the DCS_36"D_BQARN grill on cart. The burner has eroded due to the chemicals from my swimming pool. measures 20" X 3-1/2". Do you have or know where to find one.?
