Outdoor Concepts or, OCI were altered into the amazing barbecue grill models they are today because of the Fisher and Paykel take-over of DCS. Several people in DCS left the company and started working to re-invent the line of OCI products. The incredible thirty-six inch hybrid infrared and convection barbecue that resulted from this partnership is one of the most incredible barbecue grills in the marketplace. Many of the small parts and pieces in the OCI models are the same as the small parts and pieces in the DCS models just like the built in sizes and general design of the two grills are all the same. Below are a few OCI gas BBQ grill repair parts but the radiant trays, burners, grids and other repair parts are not listed. Most of these items are covered under the OCI lifetime warranty. About DCS model numbers
When DCS became a part of Fisher and Paykel a great many employees at DCS left the company and went to work at OCI. Outdoor Concepts had been in business for many years but they were primarily successful with their built in charcoal barbecue that was made of stainless steel.
The gas barbeque models that evolved from this partnership are incredible. Using the benefits and features that make the DCS models so well-loved OCI models improved on the smoker, infrared rotisserie, radiant trays and cooking grates for the new models. The halogen light went through some changes and the smoker was available through the top of the grilling grid surface. The stainless steel tubes were indestructable compared to the ceramics in the DCS models.
