Converting any barbecue from one fuel type to another fuel type involves changing the Regulator, Hose, and all Orifices.
Every control valve has an orifice but the entire appliance will use only one regulator. The regulator sets the gas pressure. Depending on the amount of pressure in the manifold we will drill a hole in the brass orifice to limit the BTU flow through the orifice into the burner matching Safety rating for the appliance. To check the orifice measure flat-to-flat diameter of the orifice. This is best done with a wrench or socket -- Not a ruler or tape measure.
Drilled Orifices Cannot Be Returned. Once the orifices are drilled, we do not have the ability to stock them in our inventory. We drill the orifices per order so Please make the correct measurements as described to select the correct orifices or Ask for assistance. Conversion parts are custom adjusted to order and Cannot Be Returned.

88832 | Replacement orifice to convert Weber Genesis and Spirit models with Side-Mounted control valves. These models generally include 210, 310, 320 models with designation E, EP, S, and Silver, Gold, Platinum models A, B, C barbecues and older Numerically named models with control knobs on the side of the fire box. Orifices are drilled to order based on Regulator pressure. Orifices ordered without a regulator will ship as blanks and will need to be drilled by the installer. Hex head is 3/8 inch. Orifices fitting side-mounted control valves must be replaced by hex-head diameter of the original orifices. Instructions: Convert Weber BBQ To NG or LP |

Convert Weber Gas Type Remove the orifice in the tip of the control valve. The orifice hex-head should measure 3/8 inch across ther diameter from flat-to-flat. This orifice fits the models that came before and after the Genesis Silver, Platinum and Gold models which use a slightly larger orifice. This Weber valve Bolts Through The Manifold whereas similar model valves Screw Into the manifold. |
![]() Is Your orifice Not a 3/8 Hex Head Diameter? Go back to full list of orifices And All Weber BBQ Parts. This 88832 orifice was used in Weber Spirit and Genesis models with side-mounted control valves Only when the original orifice is three-eighths hex-head diameter. These models also used 88315 orifices but without a "Weber" database of item numbers we can only know which orifice to use by checking the original in the original valve. |
Convert Weber Gas Type Some control valves thread into the manifold and some valves bolt through the manifold but check the orifice hex-head diameter to select this orifice or the 88315 which fits the same models that have a smaller hex-head threaded into the tip of the valve. Orifice replacements are New from the manufacturer and will ship Blank unless ordered for a specific model and with the appropriate gas regulator. The regulator Must ship with the orifices because the regulated gas pressure is what determines the size of the hole drilled in the orifice in order to match the BTU Safety Certification. Drilled Orifices Cannot Be Returned. We stock tremendous quantity of orifices and these new, blank orifices are drilled to match your regulator selection and your barbecues BTU Certification. Fortunately orifices are inexpensive. Check The Size, Ask For Help, or risk buying orifices twice. Conversion Instructions Weber BBQ Use NG or LP |
88832 | Replacement orifice used to convert Weber Genesis and Spirit A, B, C models made before 2010 -- some even a few decades before the modern design. Orifices are drilled to order to convert Weber BBQ to NG or LP and cannot be returned. Hex head is 3/8 inch. Not All But Some Spirit and Genesis models utilizing this orifice were labelled A - B - C models and later 210, 310, 320 to describe BBQ features and were labeled Silver, Gold, Platinum and later E, EP, S models to define materials. Control Valves fitting this orifice are installed on the side of the BBQ when original orifice fits 3/8 socket/wrench size.. |

80012 | LP hose with QCC-I type one regulator fits all Weber barbecue grills. Female three-eighths flared threading on 24 inch hose is most common connection among residential barbeque gas lines. Laws indicate LP cylinders have safety features and the threading on the QCC-1 hand wheel are the same all over the country so any hose and regulator assembly will look the same. |

00822 | In-Line Liquid Propane Appliance Regulator. When using a large permanent propane tank, typically as supply for an entire property, the gas line will connect to the barbecue with this low-pressure LP appliance regulator. When selecting this regulator, select the 10' gas hose assembly (88855) to install with this regulator because approximately 12 - 15 adaptors and threaded fittings are all included with the 10' gas hose to attach from the property shut-off, through the barbecue to the LP supply. |

Note the round manifold pipe and Note there is not a bolt on the outside of the pipe opposite the valve. The valve screws into the manifold pipe instead of bolting through the manifold pipe like later Weber models. The burner slides onto the valve so the orifice is inside the burner. In order to convert the type of gas burning in the barbecue we need to slide the valve out of the burner venturi tube and replace the manifold.
Orifices Must Be Ordered with a NG or LP regulator that will be installed on the same barbecue as the orifices because the regulator determines the size of the hole drilled in the orifice in order for the appliance to meet the BTU limitation Certified Safe.
The company "Weber" is today does not publish item numbers for orifices and does not make orifices available. This is why we have to select the orifice by checking the physical hex-head diameter for these pre-2010 Spirit and Genesis models.
The gas line attaches to the manifold which is simply a pipe that fills with gas and has the control valves attached so the valves can draw gas from the manifold pipe. The tip of the control valve that slides into the burner is the orifice. The orifice has a small hole drilled in the tip. The size of the hole in the orifice determines whether the barbecue will burn LP or NG and what BTU setting will burn.
Please Note Drilled Orifices Cannot Be Returned.
