FireMagic gas bbq grill burner repair for screw or peg type assemblies.
For burner clip assemblies, using a flat blade screwdriver, pry the burner retaining clip from the rear wall of the barbeque frame. Remove the burner by pulling the burner to the front of the barbecue, lift the far end out of the notch and pull the burner away from the manifold taking care not to lose the air shutter and spring which may become detached when the burner is removed.
To replace the burner or to install a new Firemagic burner follow the instructions above in reverse. Finally replace the burner clip over the burner and notch into the two securing holes in the rear of the barbeque grill frame.
Depending on the type and model of Firemagic barbecue, each burner is held in position by either a peg or a stainless steel screw or a stainless steel burner clip.
If a screw is used the hole in the tab at the end of the burner may be slightly larger than the screw. A stainless nut is used to secure the screw to the frame and a second nut to secure the burner if a screw is used.
For screw/peg assemblies. Simply use an adjustable wrench or appropriate sized socket to remove the nuts. Remove the old burner by Lifting the burner tail off the screw or peg. Pull the burner away from the manifold, taking care not to lose the air shutter and spring which may become detached when the burner is removed.
To replace the Firemagic burner or to install a new Firemagic burner follow the above steps in reverse. Make sure the air shutter and the spring are in the proper order and replace the nuts and tighten.
