Replacement Pipe Burners for Gas Barbecue Grill Models.
The pipe burner is the most common barbecue burner is use today. Twenty-odd years ago most gas grills used "H" shaped burners and Oval burners and a lot of those barbecues were built so solid they are still in use today. Barbecues today -- manufacturing in general today -- have not gotten better but manufacturing has become faster and less expensive as most lower and mid-priced companies have moved manufacturing and material fabroicating overseas. We all complain about this but until we buy higher-quality products and stop making decisions solely based on price the trend will continue. At Majesti Grill Parts we use our standard database and part numbers but we strive to locate manufacturers in the US to manufactire many of our parts rather than buy the less expensive parts overseas. The older DCS 24 model gas barbecue grills have a very different burner design. The two burners attach to the two valves in the front control panel of ther BBQ grill and mount sideways inside the barbecue grill. In the image above the burners are laid out in the same way they will install into the DCS 24 gas BBQ grill. |
Gas barbecue grill burners attach to the orifice in the tip of the valve at the burner vebturi. The BBQ burner venturi should have an air vent on it that can be adjusted to allow more or less air into the burner to mix with gas and burn cleaner depending on the air shutter settings and environmental factors.
The DCS gas barbecue grill electrode should arc blue or purple just above the ports on the gas grill burner. The collector box protects the electrode from grease and dirt and the collector box allows a slight build-up of gas to assist the ignition when the module is sending a spark to light the gas bbq grill burners.
Make certain to keep the burner ports clean and keep the electrode clean. If there is gas flow and a spark your igniter works. Keep the electrode clean and the ports unclogged and your DCS barbecue grill ignition will light for ever.
The gas barbeque grill burner mounts inside the DCS gas grill fire box and the venturi is inserted into the front fire wall. As seen in this drawing the venturi slides onto the end of the control valve is installed. DCS has a hood style orifice and the orifice mounts into the burner venturi tube.
Once the burner is safely installed and the venturi is safely completely mounted to the orifice on the control valve check the flames while the burner is burning. BBQ grill gas burner flames should be blue with a yellow - orange tip and approximately one inch long. If the flame is yellow, all blue or if the barbeque flame seems to be floating above the burner remove the control panel and adjust the air shutter while the burner is burning until the flame looks correct.
