The flame on the gas barbecue should be blue where the flame leaves the burner and lighten to yellow or orange as it rises about an inch high. The air vent at the base of the burner where the burner connects with the valve can be adjusted for a different mixture of gas and air burning. The flames should not appear to be floating aabove the burner but should be touching the burner at the blue base of the flame.
The flames on your Uniflame gas barbeque grill should be clean and clean along the stainless steel gas grill burner. If the flames are very yellow and wavy or look hard and blue the burner may need to be cleaned, the gas properly regulated and/or the air shutter adjusted. Adjust the air shutter by removing the control panel so the control valve and gas bbq grill burner are visible. Light the burner and adjust the air flow to get the correct flame.
